About Me

Joshua Peacock, BSC (hons), MSC.

My athletic journey started on the rugby fields of Northern England at the tender age of 8 years old. I played for over ten years of my life which set me up with a passion for training and determination to work hard.

Whilst growing up I was obsessed with World’s Strongest Man and remember being fascinated with the likes of Mariuz Pudzianowski and Zydrundas Savikas, especially as it was usually broadcast over Christmas.  Unbeknownst to be at the time this would set the stage for a long lasting love of weight training and would lead me to the point I am now.

Following my rugby career I again was fortunate enough to be exposed to a high level olympic weightlifting club in the North of England which led me to competing for several years and was an entrance into strength sports.

At that point, I was at a crossroads with multiple potential paths in front of me—including music school and a degree in zoology. But after discovering the academic field of Sport & Exercise Science, I knew I had found my calling. I applied to study Sport Science at Bangor University in North Wales, UK, and never looked back.

Since graduating in 2015, I’ve spent the past decade as a Human Performance Coach, working with Elite Athletes and Special Forces Operators across both the UK and the United States.

In 2016, I also discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I was immediately drawn to its unique blend of athleticism, technical precision, and the strong sense of community it fosters.

Today, my passion for training has evolved into something broader: a desire to help people better understand and explore movement and physical training—regardless of their goals, physical ability, injury history, or limitations.

In combat sports especially, I believe there’s a deeply underserved population that needs access to safe, effective, and sustainable training—training that bridges the gap between the weight room and the mat or cage. This is as much about education and awareness as it is about training hard.

Currently, I coach and train out of Ryan & Jen Halls gym Fifty/50 located in Falls Church, VA. If you would like work with me and learn more about how I can help you, please feel free to schedule an introductory call.
